Navigating Through Exam Week

Posted by Michelle Goh | 20 November 2025

Two principles governed my approach to exam week.

Stop Cramming

Having taken multiple exams, I realised that it is impossible to know everything.

At that stage, trying to cover every remaining gap can make you panic more. It can also make you doubt things you already know.

Instead, trust the work and effort you have already put in.

After the Exam, Do Not Check Answers

When the paper ends, it is finished.

There is no point reviewing questions or checking answers.

Making mistakes in an exam is normal. You are not aiming for a perfect score.

That energy is better used preparing for the next paper. If you keep thinking about the last paper, it can affect your concentration for the next one.

This is easier said than done. But hopefully these tips help you the way they helped me.
